Further comment:

Engage your local police in discussions about security and prosecution of
the vandals. Make them aware of the citizens and community effort to keep
the park safe and unmolested.
Also have conversations with your local prosecutor, in advance. In effect,
put out a hunting license for the vandals, Ensure their skids are fully
greased for when they are caught.
