The W115 220D had a short hood and was straight across between the headlights and across the radiator support. The W115 300D ('75 & '76) had a longer hood and the radiator support was a few inches in front of the line across the headlights - to accommodate the longer OM617 engine. I would think that the 110 could be similar for different engines.
The '70 W115 220D that was our first MB had 4 on the tree. you pulled out on the shifter for reverse, but I can't remember if it was towards or away from you. A friend's father had a '65 W110 220 (?) with a six cylinder and 4 on the tree. On Mon, Feb 16, 2015 at 1:17 PM, Ed Booher via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > Four on the tree?
