You need to hear about the boondoggle the guys I had in class figured out. They work for Danish National Broadcasting, recently our european customers discovered that for the same price as going to our UK training center they could come to the US and in the US they get the "Master Instructor", thats me.So these guys arrange to come to the US for class, though it turns out theres a reseller right next door that can run the same class. Now we have two options for class in the US, snowy and cold MA or sunny and warm CA, they obviously pick the latter. There are only 2 direct direct flights a week from Copenhagen to LAX, one gets in Saturday which is no good, class starts Monday and they'll be fighting 9 hours of jet lag. So they get in Tuesday the week before class. They decide to drive up to San Francisco and end up in Santa Cruz. They decide the best way to get on west coast time is to stay up late and the best way to do that is to get stinking drunk... One of the two guys went back to Denmark right after class, the other brought his wife over and is staying for like a month of vacation... We started calling it "the junket" -Curt From: WILTON via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> To: Jaime Kopchinski <jaime...@gmail.com>; Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2015 6:08 PM Subject: Re: [MBZ] My florida tour has come to an end ATTABOY! In the USAF, we called that a Boondoggle. Sometimes work begins to seem like more play than work, doesn't it? When it does, THAT'S a Boondoggle.
