While on the topic of a new car . . . "Mercedes-Benz C-Class Named 2016 World Car of the Year"
*The Mercedes-Benz <http://www.autoguide.com/new-cars/mercedes-benz/index.html> C-Class was officially named the 2016 World Car of the Year today during the New York Auto Show.* It edged past the Ford Mustang and the Volkswagen Passat to take the award, marking the first time in three years that a product from the Volkswagen Group didn’t get the award. The W205 C-Class is considerably larger than the W204 generation and is available with either a turbocharged four-cylinder of six-cylinder engine in the U.S. market. Of course there is also the high-performance V8-powered AMG model, but that’s an entirely different animal. Pricing for the C300 kicks off at $39,325 and for that price you get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine powering the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The V6-powered C400 starts at $49,515. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/04/mercedes-benz-c-class-named-2016-world-car-of-the-year.html -- OK Don NSA: The only branch of government that actually listens to US citizens! *“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.”* – Mark Twain "There are three kinds of men: The ones that learns by reading.
