With all the CNC machining capacity, it seems to me that someone, somewhere, should be able to remake the valve to take "O" rings with a new design and sell replacement parts that actually work.
This problem is a matter of "when" will it happen, not "if" it will happen.. known design weak point. Surely, it would be worth writing a CNC machining program to make a better part from a block of "something invincible".
