OOOO - I'm far west suburbs. You should make sure that it is the hose first. That is low cost and easy to accomplish. Then watch and see if the injectors are the problem. I think not, but... your '77 240D might need new injectors? Injectors are a different animal but the hoses are simple. Buy dealer hose - not much, perhaps $20 for a meter? - essentially cheap. And then I can watch you roast coffee at BowTruss... maybe...
