Would be interested to hear anyone’s direct experience with using SS brake lines versus the stock rubber lines, and what exactly the difference was.
The S500 needs brake lines, so I found a set of stainless lines made by Goodridge and ordered them tonight. About the same price as OE lines from the dealer from the looks of things. It’s my understanding that SS lines give a much firmer pedal than rubber lines. If I find this to be the case, I’ll definitely replace the lines on the SL500, as it’s always had sort of a soft pedal. Lots of people in the R129 forum on BW have reported this as well.
