I have some other cartridges, too, and refilled several with hypodermic needle 15-20 years ago and thought I might try it again now, but tremor has gotten so severe, I'm afraid it could get messy, indeed.

Subject: [MBZ] Wiltons printer cartridges

The printer mfg's are getting worse about cartridges, so I bought a black and white Samsung laser printer at Walmart for around $!50 and kept the $33 Canon for color prints only.

Laser printers have BIG cartridges that last a LONG time, and the cost per page is much less. So far, it does a great job. Time will tell.

For a while I transferred the ink from old printer cartridges to the ones I was using by means of a cartridge refill kit available at drug, big box, and office supply stores. The kits work with some cartridges, and some they don't. I finally resorted to drilling a very small hole in the cartridge tanks, withdrawing and refilling with a 10 ml syringe and needle, and plugging the hole with silicone. It's messy and best utilized if you have more time than money.

Gerry...who still has a few new cartriges for long gone printers
