How did you replace the wires in the throttle body itself? The one I
looked at from the M104, all the wires disappeared into the hole in
the throttle body.
Did you find metric wire sizes?
Or did you put heat shrink on the existing wires?
I bought the cheapest one i could find on car-part.com. It came from TN.
1994 S420 started acting up earlier this week, throwing idle
controller codes and eventually going into limp home mode.
Split the jacket on the harness and as expected, powder.
Rebuilt the the harness last night in a 3-4 hour marathon. Heat
shrank everything this afternoon and reinstalled.
Test drive went well. Drives well and cruise control works again.
I have to silicone the back of the harness plug later this evening
and all will be done.
If it acts up again it will get replaced with a new ETA, but for now
I figure I dodged a bullet and saved myself $1300.
