For anyone who is a fan of the Connelly novels, their Bosch series is really good. Titus Welliver does a really fine job in the leading role. And there is some very cool vacuum tube audio equipment with vinyl going round and round in his house.
A more recent series is The Man in the High Castle, adapted from the Phillip Dick (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which was made into Blade Runner) novel.
