Got the check today from FedEx. Not only did they pay the claim amount, they refunded the packing costs, too! I certainly didn’t expect that.
I PayPal’ed the guy who sent the computer to me $100. He had close to that between shipping and packing in it, so I figured that was the right thing to do. Anyway, now I’ve got a working computer that is somewhat smashed (smooshed) that cost me around $100. Cosmetics don’t matter to me, so unless I’m worried about resale, I’m good.
