Very sorry to hear that, I'll be putting some thought to your dilemma.

In the past I've heard that the best thing a new widower can do is
_nothing_.  Do nothing but exist for a year, and then you'll be able to
make rational decisions after the grieving process has run its course.

Obviously your situation won't allow that, so maybe you should try to
decide as little as possible, keep your options open, and give yourself
some time.

I would not recommend picking up and moving across the country (but I'm not
you).
