<<Einspritzer. "i" on BMWs meant the same thing once upon a time. I think I've seen old Italian cars (Alfas, maybe?) with an "Inietzione" badge. Funny to think of fuel injection being an exotic, high-performance feature worthy of special designation>>
Truth be told, it's "Einspritzung" and "Iniezione." VW (as one example of an early adopter) first used electronic injection in 1968 and "exotic or high performance" would not have been mentioned. RLE
