I wasn't intending to reuse the 10+ year old stuff. I had new injection line lying around from a previous Rusty order. My question was merely if I remove the injectors in a week or 2, do I need to replace it again. That's all.

If it is less than a year old, you can generally reuse the hose. Over a
year, you are usually as well off to just replace the hose. In between, or on the road, you can snip off 3/4 inch from the leaky end and put it back on.

I have found about 2 years is about the max for the hose that is
available. With all the oil burners I have, I generally try to have a
meter or 2 on hand.

Luther, you need to throw the brittle stuff away and put on new hose. It
should be a 30K service item, or every 24 months if you don't put 30k on
your dissel in that time.
