Box solar is not the bestest for pool heating. I used to sell a system that used coiled black tubing that did a bang up job of kicking up pool therms. You want lots of surface area and time under the photons for caloric increase. The tubes were 0.5" to 2cm OD, depending on load, coiled into 8' circles with 0.25 inch gaps. Mount on a southern rooftop in series of four to how many you could fit. Plumb it into the outlet end of the filtration system, upgrade the pump by 0.5HP to 1HP to get the head needed. Plumb back in a few feet down stream from the heater. On a cloudless day you can boost temps by 10*c in a few hours.
