Based on your hardware, FW will be the faster of the two, but if you‘re not 
worried about performance, go with USB if it’s cheaper.  Your MacBook doesn’t 
have USB 3.0 to the best of my knowledge, so that’s pretty much lost on you if 
you get a 3.0 USB drive or enclosure.

Did you check their current garage sale to see if there are any deals on SSDs 
and enclosures?

If you’re an OWC customer, you’re probably getting their early bird 
notifications on the garage sale, which they do about once a month.  Sometimes 
they have deals, other times it’s dreck.
