That's good for the hot side.   What about the cold side.

It's not just a matter of getting it hot.  One side hot, the other
side cold - then you get current flow.  So if you don't do
something to keep the cold side cold, it won't work so well.

Just having the cold side in the dark should give you a little
difference.  Better would be a big heatsink, with an insulated
"wall" to keep the lantern heat/light off of it.
