Err, lower frequencies are less effected by obstructions than higher. >From 15 kHz on up through 15 GHz, on all the situations and system I'm familiar with. Maybe Sprint is using a lower frequency - but is also using a different "modulation" scheme, or something else that causes problems in buildings. Whatever. I don't know what Sprint uses. I don't have experience with their coverage.
