Thanks Kaleb -
Do you mean the order of the DVs is critical, i.e., #3 1st, then #5, etc or the torquing of the individual DVs as is torque to 5nM, them 9nM then another 1/4 turn? I did not look up the actual torque needed - the numbers are just for example.

Thanks,

The torque sequence of the valve holders is very critical.

Hi Gang -

As you might recall, I took my MB to a local Import shop when I had difficulty
getting the DVs working properly and after driving the car I find it is much quieter and
faster as well. I know how the DVs are set up but cannot imagine how they can be
"tuned" so they will allow the engine to be quiet and fast as well. Is there
something I am missing here? I still cannot imagine how I put the DVs together
improperly. IMO there is not an improper way to put them together as long as the parts
are arranged correctly, i.e. the washers and o-rings and the PV and its Carrier are all
present and properly oriented. I know someone mentioned the torque of the fuel lines had
an affect on the engine but IMO as long as the fuel was not leaking it was tight enough.
I'm not saying the torque is not critical and I'm sure the torque value helps with the
consistency of the tightness as ensures the lines will not loosen.

Thanks,

Larry
