I would clamp the break shut with JB Weld worked into it and then glue an 
aluminum patch over the break inside using 24 hour JB Weld (the strongest), and 
possibly add appropriately placed pop rivets to keep the patch from getting 
tangled up with the internals if the JB Weld should fail.
Be sure and work JB into the pop rivets to prevent any leaks there.
Sometimes a break in a relatively thin casting will distort the mating surface 
and some sort of form-a-gasket will be need if the gasket isn't new and soft.
