Because only the military and police could own guns, there were so many
people trying to get into the USSR and East germany that they had to
erect a huge wall in Berlin to keep the West Germans out!
We already have millions fleeing the US of A to mexico to get away from
the locals totin'. Estimates are that something like 150 million
mexicans are of US descent, or are illegal aliens in meh he co!

On second thought, why don't the people that want to live under such a
system (where civilian guns are illegal) just move to Mexico, where
such laws are already in place?
