I think that changing sheet metal and the rad would be MUCH easier than
pulling the engine/tranny out of both cars and swapping them. It may very well have some hidden frame damage which would necessitate the engine/tranny
swap.  Either way, the stick would be much funner to drive.

Usually you let the condition of the rust and paint determine
which is the donor, and what gets donated.  Engine swaps are easy
compared to much bodywork.  Tranny type swaps are also doable,
so long as it's not a column shift vs floor!
