The on/off switch broke on my refurbished Ryobi 10532 a couple of years ago, so I started shutting it off with the choke, then had to pull it five times to restart it. After less than a week of that, the starter failed to engage. I never yanked the starter, always pulled the cord slowly until I could feel the starter engage. It has the good Japanese engine, with cheap Chinese plastic, including the flywheel cover that houses the starter. I don't know whether the starter mechanicals come from Japan or China. I'd meant to sell it to a list member the year before, but didn't get around to boxing it up to ship. Good for him I'm lazy, I guess. I still have two of those in new, not refurbished condition that I never took out of the box. Now I'm wondering what I'll find when I take the broken one apart. It was a nice little saw, not as light as my 35cc Husky, but noticeably more powerful and it went forever on a tank of gas. I should have just let it idle while dragging brush to the brushpile instead of shutting it off with the choke. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
