I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but MBUSA had OM606s from 1994-1999 and CDI starting in 2005. After the rodbenders, there were no I-6 diesels in USA outside of the E Class, but at least we have I-6 engines in the W124, W210, and W211 (CDI).
