Waytago They made a whole mess out of the certifications after
2003. Before that it was MCSE for servers/network, and MCSA for
software dev. and MCDBA for SQL. Easily understood.

Ask for a raise? Sure.
GET a raise? Probably not without a move and a new employer. So, the
cost of moving negates the benefit of the raise.
