they also have to spark at the right time. I think it was the 013 coil that seemed to spark, but the car would not run. With a new coil, it ran fine. Mine had a weird flat box kind of coil, not a traditional cylinder. Those flat ones fail in weird ways.

Just take an old plug out and put it on a wire. Or pull the wire from the coil and lay it 1/2" or so from a ground. 3/8" then 1/4"

I guess I will pull the plugs and see if they are sparking
