Hi all,
I purchased genuine Mercedes Benz logo tire valve stem covers last year for my daughter's MB 2011 300C. Went to check the tire pressure because she received a warning message and all 4 of the caps were basically sealed to the valve stem. I had to force them off with a pair of pliers and the plastic broke (yes they are made of plastic). There is a white powdery pitting on the threads that I lightly wire brushed off. Still not not perfect but I was able to carefully force on the original metal caps I had taken off. First time I every experienced that issue and wanted to reach out to see if others had too. Any suggestions on what the issue could be along with ideas on how to clean the threads would be appreciated. Along with thoughts on what to purchase for replacements.
