I've considered such mounted to side of the drain channel beneath side of
trunk lid, too, so as not to affect trunk lid operation - remain fixed.

Same clamping system for the door pieces, since the pinch weld for both

with the opening of the trunk lid.. that might present a problem?
Should be good for a 200 lb pull , scientific wild ass guess calculation
wise. The actual grab bar could be, say, 1 1/4 inch diameter, so not "to
objectionable" looks wise.
