On removing the rear suspension springs: The basic concept is to have the wheels on the ground, disconnect the shock (either in the trunk or from the lower control arm), and then jack up the rear of the car with a floor jack under the differential. In this way, as the car is raised up but the wheel and lower (spring link) control arm are allowed to drop, all the tension is safely removed from the spring.
I do believe you will have to disconnect the brake line as well, prior to the jacking / lowering operation. ------------- Max Charleston SC _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
