Is neetsfoot with beeswax sold in stores or is it a home brew? I ended up buying a mid price Redwing steel toe boot called Irish Setter from Okun Bros shoe store in Kalamazoo. They have been in business for 90 years. The were $169.00. I probably could have ordered them and saved 15.00 but going to the store, seeing my options and trying them on was worth it. The only thing I did not like about them were the laces. They were very thin and did not feel good in my hands. I replaced them with the laces from my old boots. (Even though the shorts are getting a bit worn.) I’m hoping they will outlive me. Has anyone successfully cut laces out of the leather of their old boots?
