As I noted before, the Subaru's are noted for failing wheel bearings. Another 
possibility is one or both rear tires being "saw tooth" from the rear toe 
adjustment being off. Sounds just like a bad wheel bearing.  Easy enough to 
check by eyeballing it, and running your gloved hand over the surface of the 
tires.
