Metro would need a tiny diesel, like a VW TDI or a 1.6L Clean Turbo Diesel (CTD). Unfortunately, General Motors, after totally failing to advertise or try to sell the 1.6 CTD for three years, has announced that it won't be available in 2020 Equinox or Terrain (and they already announced there won't be any 2020 Cruze, diesel or gas).
