You can get proxxes r888s in a 225/50 r14. Unfortunately they dont make the
wet/dry racing tire in that size, but you would have super grip in the dry
:)

Just about any 50 or 60 series sidewall with a 225 tread is going to run
circles around the stock size tires.

Of the stock size tires, only the defenders and the nankings have an H
rating, which is the original spec for the car. R888 is v rated, so that
would exceed the spec :-)

I have always found the higher speed rated tires to be better handling,
smoother and quieter, no matter what the original spec is. I think they
have more sidewall plies typically.
