and asked about High Definition lenses with prism in lined bifocals.

I was told they measure pupillary distance and the height one wants for
the bifocal lines and send that information off with one's prescription
to their lab which does the processing.

I thought the process went beyond one's prescription and involved
measuring and mapping out one's eyeball with some kind of machine for
correcting the third-order and higher aberrations.

Or am I misinformed?
