Are they going ice racing this winter? For that is the only sane reason not to have the exhaust under the car. When (not if) you slide off the race course and over a snowbank, it's easy to damage the exhaust. And you don't want to do exhaust work on race day on a windy frozen lake when it's 10°F. Mitch.
