I buy those too, they are good.  Probably made in the same factory, or a reasonable analogue.

The Costco white cotton socks are really good too, nice and thick and wear very well.

Look like a knockoff of smartwool.   When I had to be in the cold all the time, my feet were happiest in the heavy smartwool with boots a size or 1.5 too big.  In fairness, out neighbors who run a hiking/outdoor store swear by the Darn Tough, but I've never had any.   I'd look for the smartwool on sale or let somebody give me a pair for christmas.

Somebody mentioned these in a sock discussion on another forum, and I bought a six pack yesterday. They appear to be a suitable substitute at $18/6pr instead of $20/pr. Thicker than my Darn Tough socks, I'll let you know in a year if they are as durable. More wool and much less spandex than my DTs.
