Wranglers fit/feel better. El Mercado de Wal sells them cheap enough. Levi lost its way ages ago. Try carpenter pants, the fabric is a bit thicker and the fit is looser (loser) and they have the pencil/tool pocket and hammer loop for added utility. If you want to look like an old geek cargo pants are great!
I have some bibs somewhere I need to dig out. All this is predicated on not giving a sh*t about being a fashion statement.
