Thanks, Curley, for suggesting the Irwin bolt/screw extractor set! I found a 
set on Amazon that has 5 different sizes with 3/8” drive. They have reverse 
spiral flutes that allow it to bite down on the bolt as it is turned CCW. Is 
this the set you suggested? The 2nd largest extractor fits around the bolt and 
does turn it in my hand as I tested it on one of the ones that I was able to 
remove. I’m actually thinking about making Hildegard into a 240D 3.0 since this 
engine is so tired. Of course, I would have to use a 300D radiator and fan 
shroud as the 240 setup wouldn’t be adequate.
