Check the facts. A lot has changed in 20 years! Check the sources. 20-30 years ago a lot of misinformation was planted in enviro groups by interests who wanted to preserve the status quo. Check the sources of funding that the political interests fot he leadership of enviro groups. It is quite telling! BS about ethanol is still being quoted as "Fact" just as the Masters and Johnson statement that "as much as 10 % of the population of the study (hookers) may be homosexual" is misquoted as 10% of the population (of the country) is homosexual (but afraid to show it) There is a big difference in the population of a study, when that population is deviant, and the population of the country.

Again, Huff's "how to lie with statistics" is an excellent primer to learn how to separate fact from "facts"

Biofuels are a hope, but with the current US farming methods, there is
some debate as to whether or not there is a net fuel gain -- I've been
hearing for at least 20 years that more BTU are consumed in production

include the energy costs of producing herbicides, pesticides, the
actual use of farm equipment, and the energy used to produce and
transport the fertilizers.
