With the current prices of meat at the store with ground beef being unavailable or over $8 per pound, streaks being much more that that I decided to explore options. Ideally I should get some cattle to raise then have it butchers. What I did in the mean time is find a local wholesale meat supply place that supplies meat to restaurants. I bought 40 lbs of ground beef, 10lbs of beef patties, 24lbs of sirloin steaks, 16lbs of ribeye steaks, 10lbs of pork carnitas. Total was right around $300. Seems like a pretty decent deal to me, much cheaper than going to the store. If you are looking for meat you should try to find a similar place near you.
