Kevin in Hillsboro Oregon1981 300CD 204K miles, Giesela
When I bought the '78 300CD, my sisters and I were driving it up to Oregon
from Southern California at near 80MPH at some points. It felt right at
home. We also had one of my nieces with us who was a rear seat passenger
the whole way. I started out in the front passenger's seat (if I could
drive I would have been in that seat for sure), but I also spent some time
in the back which wasn't too bad once I got there. Since both of my sisters
are 5'1", the seats were positioned forward enough to provide adequate leg
room. If the front seat occupants are much more than 5'3", it gets a LITTLE
tight back there (not recommended for long trips). All of this being said,
it's a wonderful car to cruise around in, and MUCH shorter than my Dodge
quad cab long bed pickup!
