This will take some experimenting. I might start with removing the injector and glow plug for 1 cyl and see how much air pressure it generates at every other stroke. Then I could seal the exhaust if I wanted air on both strokes. I don't really have to seal the intake.....allowing it to take air in won't hurt...2 in, 1 out? or maybe I only have to tap into the injector for air out.
It could be this simple, remove injector, install check valve to air tank, re-route injection pump for that cyl to tee at cigar hose. Wow, pretty basic eh? The brain's storming here.... Luther ~ ~ ~In fact, thinking about it, there's no need to seal off the intake/exhaust ~manifold, either. You'll still want to have your double check valve setup, ~though. (Not pulling a vacuum on an empty cylinder will make it run ~better.) ~ ~If you do mess with the valves, you'll get compression every revolution ~rather than every other revolution. ~ ~ ~Craig ~ -- Luther KB5QHU Alma, Ark '83 300SD (231,xxx kmi) '82 300CD (159,222 kmi) '82 300D (74,000 kmi) needs MAJOR work
