Avoid Samsung refrigerators. They are piles of crap. We bought a new
expensive french door model back in around 2017. The reason we went
with this model was because it had an ice maker in the door and one in
the bottom freezer. At first everything was fine but within a short
time the top ice maker turned into a pile of junk. It constantly
freezes up with big chunks of ice and gets jammed. 90% of the time it
does not work unless you thaw it out then it will work for a day or 2
maybe. Bottom ice maker has always worked fine.
I am sitting here in my chair in the living room which is just right
behind the refrigerator on the other side of the wall (open floor plan),
heard some sort of different noise coming from the kitchen. I did not
think much about it. Just a few minutes ago I got into the refrigerator
and when you open the doors the temp of the freezer and refrigerator
display on the control panel. Freezer was a 36 and refrigerator was at
58. Was fine when I went to bed last night. Compressor does not appear
to be running. That strange noise I heard earlier now that I think about
it was probably the compressor trying to run, or running but dying.
Lucky I did just sign up for that home service contract which I already
have an appointment Tuesday for the Bosch Dishwasher issue (drain
pump). Guess I will put in a service request for this too.
