And Aussieland, like NZ, would require you to have large sums of cash or a business to land in the country permanently if you’re older than that. A friend in Brisbane tells me that even these requirements are being reconsidered due to the large number of Asian immigrants who are bringing large sums of $$ with them.
A coworker has an uncle who emigrated to NZ a few years ago. Essentially, if you’re toward the end of your career they don’t want you showing up and tapping their services, so you have to bring in and maintain a large sum of money in country so they know you won’t be a burden.
