Seattle and socialist Washington State just recently bumped up the registration fee on EV and hybrids due to the lack of revenue from emission testing and gas taxes. One favored solution is to tax per mile driven. I can picture odometers being spun backward wholesale. Somebody will figure out how to hack the computers to make that happen.
