Wow...When I got keys for Angie's 2005 Golf I sent a photograph to a guy
online who sent keys. I borrowed a cable and programmed myself, it was all
pretty easy...

Local locksmith came to the car with a mobile programming device and
programmed a new key on the spot. Fortunately I still had a non-chip
copy of the key so they could cut the teeth from that.
