Interesting, so a mount can actually produce a hum? Must be a resonating vibration (kind of what my muffler hanger was doing - it hits just the right vibration frequency and it makes a hum of sorts. Man, that exhaust system shakes around at idle.

It doesn't change with acceleration/deceleration, and turning one way or the other doesn't affect it either. It's down the list of repairs, but it's definitely something that needs to be done eventually.
