Got the Karmann Ghia running better today. The JC Whitney air flow meter that I bought to balance the carbs on an M180 finally was useful again. The engine has a dual Weber ICT setup. Air flow was not quite balanced between the two carbs and the mixture seemed off also. Got it idling smoothly and it revs well without stumbling. Started raining before I could check the timing, that's on the list for tomorrow and maybe I can start driving it. Runs better every time I start it; I have Techron in the gas so I'm thinking it's slowly cleaning out old gunk in the fuel system. I have not torn down and cleaned the carbs but if it still has drivability issues I guess that's my next step.
