I left my '14 GLK 250 unlocked in the driveway with the windows open to keep it cool. Just now (without the key), when I opened the driver's door and reached into the vehicle to retrieve an item from between the front seats, the car alarm went off! I ran inside to get the key and fortunately was able to turn it off. I guess this is a safety feature that has good intentions, but unforeseen consequences.
