Yeah that would probably be a decent ride

Speakinawhich, the BAS/ABS light that came on during my trip a coupla weeks ago went out on the 05ML500, maybe the brake light switch or connection is wonky, in any case it heals itself.  It came on when I hit some rough pavement towing the trailer so maybe it just shook something loose.  I was gonna order a new one from FCPEuro, it's only like $5.50 but I'm sure the postage is more than that.  Next time I order parts (and I just ordered rad hoses for the 124 the other day and forgot to add this part in, bah) I will get one.  I need to feel around up in there too, I did that the other day but i think I need to take off the kick panel under the dash to see it.

But yeah, the 163s are decent rides, this one looks nice, and are relatively easy to keep sorted.

AZ Bob has had some experience with these - he scoped out my ML350 along with
some other candidates, so he has some idea what he’s looking at.

This one looks nice and like many of it’s time is pretty basic. As long as
there are no warning lights for BAS or ABS they’re pretty solid cars, a lot
like the W210s in a sense. Take good care of them and they’ll do a good job of
doing the point A to point B stuff.

I’ve been trying to find some belly pans for mine so I can take it off road
more. Lots of cool Forest Service roads in our area, but they can be pretty
rough at times. It would be nice to have skid plates or something down there to
protect the working bits.

Been sitting there a month? In any case it looks decent, a hitch/lights pkg is
easy to install if you want one, these are pretty basic aside from the nannies.
Be aware they are kinda truckie, a bit noisy and stiff ride, not 210 or 211
sedan for sure.

Perhaps I’ll scope it out today. The place that is offering it is reputable.

The last of the first gen model, but not a bad one. Pretty basic as far as
options, but that’s not a bad thing. Bun warmers! Nice that they’ve done engine
mounts, as that’s a pig of a job they all need by this time.

If it checks out I would offer $3500 and see what they say.

pocket price be you reckon?
